The beautiful islands of Turks and Caicos are among the most popular tourist destinations in the Caribbean.

Defined by white sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters, Turks and Caicos offers something for everyone, from luxury resorts and fine dining, to all manner of water sports and marine activities.

The Island

Often described as the jewel of the Caribbean, Turks and Caicos is a made up of a small collection of sparsely populated islands featuring some of the most stunning natural scenery you will find anywhere in the world. The busiest and most populated island in Turks and Caicos is Providenciales, home to one of the most spectacular beaches in the world, Grace Bay Beach and surrounded by the world’s third largest barrier reef.

Getting to Turks & Caicos

Turks and Caicos is easily accessed by plane and if you are a citizen or legal resident of the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada then visas are not required as Turks and Caicos is a British Overseas Territory. Most major airlines fly to Turks and Caicos and all international flights arrive at Providenciales International Airport (PLS). If you wish to visit one of the other islands, then you will need take a domestic flight out of Providenciales from one of the local airlines.

Some companies also offer cruises which stop at Turks and Caicos. All Cruises currently dock at the Grand Turk Cruise Ship Centre. This is the only island to have a cruise ship port.

Things To See and Do

Turks and Caicos is an island paradise situated in the heart of the Caribbean, renowned for its fantastic sandy white beaches and incredible natural marine life. The crystal-clear waters surrounding the islands offer numerous possibilities in terms of marine activities, and watersports such as kayaking, windsurfing, paddleboarding and snorkelling are all popular activities among tourists. If watersports aren’t your thing however, there are plenty of other things to do on the islands.

The Culture

Here in Turks and Caicos we are very proud of our local culture. On Thursday’s from 5:30pm to 9:30pm at the Bight (Children’s) Park, on Providenciales, over a dozen local food vendors, entertainers and cultural acts come together to celebrate life on the islands. “Island fish fry” is an evening of fun and entertainment for the whole family. Restaurants come from all corners of the Island to offer up some of the finest local cuisine and there is a wide range of entertainment offered from local bands to youth acts and local demonstrations.
